Ephesians 6:18 - “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;”
Stickability. Stick with it. Persevere. Press through until the end. Keep praying until you pray through. So many times, if something doesn’t happen as quickly as we think it should we slow down, stop, give up, quit, and we never see the results God has for us.
This is not the case for a certain oil man in Texas back in the 1930’s. He made a million dollars then lost it all, yet he was sure that if he would just keep digging, he would strike oil again. He convinced his banker to give him another extension to his loan, he drilled just 50 feet deeper and hit a gusher, and became a multi-millionaire overnight. What if he hadn't gone a little deeper? What if he quit? What if never asked for an extension on the loan? He would have never hit the gusher!
I believe there’s a "gusher" waiting for you too if you don’t quit, don’t give up. Go just “50-feet” deeper. That’s a small effort, and in no way compared to what’s already waiting for you if you press through. If we would just pray the word with a little more perseverance, be a little more determined, we’d have greater manifestations of what we are believing for. I didn't say pray harder or longer or louder, that doesn't move God or change your situation. I said to pray through to the end, see it through, don’t give up because of what you see or feel. Keep praying until you sense a release in your spirit, until you have a “knowing” that it is finished, it’s taken care of.
There is something just below the surface that is waiting for you. There is a “suddenly” waiting for you. A “gusher”, when you hit that place where your answered prayer is waiting for you. Pray in the Spirit, pray for other people, pray for your family, for anyone that comes to your mind, for the things you are believing for. Stick with it. “Stickability” is all it takes!
